After years of racing successes in the motocross world championships with Stefan Everts (5 times MX world champion), Arrow Research & Development developed a new line of full titanium off-road pipes. These new exhausts were designed, developed and tested with the goal to offer a hi-performing system that does well immediately on the bikes it is meant for, without further modifications. In order to obtain the best possible performance and reliability, all models were extensively tested on the static bench in our R&D and on race tracks all over the world. All MX Competition systems come in three parts: collectors, mid-pipe and end silencer. We chose to make the new system this way to make it easier to replace one on the individual parts in case of a crash. Furthermore, a system made out of three separate parts is easier to fit and, being a this exhaust a ?loose? system, it is easier for it to absorb inevitable vibrations of the off-road track. The collector is made in titanium, its length and shape were carefully studied in order to make the engine breath as freely as possible and pull as hard as it possibly can. The fitting flange is in aluminium, the fitting point to the cylinder is turned and its design optimizes gas flows out of the collector. The mid-pipe, in full titanium too, was shaped to stay as far from damper and frame. The silencer distinguishes itself because of its reduced dimensions. Noise emission is contained within the limits of the official race regulations, thanks to the top quality sound absorbent materials used inside the silencer. In case particularly strict regulations on noise emission are to be respected, we made the end cap fit for an extra db-killer that, if necessary, can be inserted.
