Product Rating: 5 Star Motostrano Rating (out of 5) The MX-1 Leather Jacket by Alpinestars. The MX-1 is the built-for-speed race jacket from Alpinestars. With other makers of moto gear, you can accidentally find yourself wearing stuff that for all intents and purposes should be sitting on a rack in your friendly neighborhood K-Mart. Alpinestars represents the upper echelons of the apparel elite. The only stuff the racers will swear by. This jacket is made from 1high end 1.2 to 1.4mm leather (full grain) for maximum resistance to abrasion. Main seams are multiple stitched for optimum tear resistance. This leather jacket uses Alpinestars' common and patented external plastic armor protection on the shoulders. CE GP protectors on elbow are removable and made of an injection-molded shell and dual density foam padding. This jacket has ergonomically placed Schoeller stretch Kevlar� panels and leather flex zones for optimal comfort and fit. Like all Alpinestars jackets the MX-1 uses YKK Semi Auto Lock zippers. The jacket has a removable by zipper thermal vest for warmth and an aerodynamic back hump for speed buffeting. The waist of the jacket is adjustable. The jacket has 3 external and 2 internal pockets. Certain panels of the jacket are perforated for ventilation. This jacket features a waist zipper to zip to the Astars Track or Bat pants. The MX1 jacket also has a pocket for the CE approved RC back protector.
