Q/ I am interested in purchasing the Marchesini rims, but I want to make sure that they are going to work for me. I want to use them on my Honda XR650R supermoto with Dunlop 208 tires. Dunlop says that the proper D208 for a 5" rim is the 170. My concern is that a tire this wide will rub the chain and/or the swingarm. What do you think?

A/ A five incher isn't recommended for your XR and actually, neither are the 208s. The XR Marchesinis are offered in a 4.50 wide rim to provide for extra clearance of your chain and swingarm on the bike. Then, our recommended tire for your XR would be the Continental SM tire.

Q/ Are the Marchesini Mag Supermoto wheels for Honda CRF450R certifiied for DOT or off road use only? I have seen wheels stamped with "DOT E" and was wondering if they were all that way or if a "racing only" wheel was available. My assumption would be that a DOT wheel might be heavier than a race and I didn't know what your's are. Thanks.

A/ Quick correction. The Marchesinis are made of forged aluminum and aren't "mag" or magnesium. There's only the one type of Marchesini supermoto wheel, which are approved for road and race use. There may be some factory wheel floating around out there for professional racers, but we've never seen them available to mortals.
